I am very excited and enthused to be a candidate for Houston City Council District D. Our current Council Member Ada Edwards is term limited—I am honored and thankful to have received her endorsement for my campaign. While working for the City of Houston over the last 7 years I have had many opportunities to focus on issues of importance to Houstonians. As your council member I will continue to champion: :
- Economic Development- Creating public/private partnerships to create economic development opportunities in District D is important to the strength of our community.
- Neighborhood/ Public Safety- Your daily safety and the responsibilities of our police and firefighters are a priority and an obligation of our city government.
- Environmental Quality – Your quality of life in District D should include clean air, recycling programs to conserve our land and environment, more park space and a commitment to preserve our history.
- Streets & Sidewalks - District D deserves continued upgrades and expansion of its sidewalks, streets, sewers and our essential community infrastructure.
- Affordable Housing- Owning a home is a dream of many of the residents of District D. I will fight to make sure that the citizens of District D have real affordable housing options.
I would like you to allow me to continue this work as your new District D council member. I hope you will decide that I am the best candidate for this position and join my campaign team. Together, we can make a real difference for our neighborhoods and our city.
Thank you for your friendship and support.
